Midwest Moving Company has been awarded the honor of being accredited as a nationwide ‘Top Rated’ moving company for three years in a row for 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. We have received this accreditation due to our ability to properly service every type of move from moving a 1-bedroom apartment down the block to moving some of the world’s finest arts and sculptures across the entire country, successfully. It is one thing to pack clothes, childhood toys, and towels but when you want to pack your expensive china, glassware, and other fragile belongings it is wise to put your beloved items in the care of one of the finest service providers in the entire nation, Midwest Moving Company.
Not only are we considered experts by our customers, but our peers within our own industry recognize our superb ability to service specialty moves. We continuously receive referrals from other moving companies to service specialty moves such as large home-safes, pianos, pool tables, large commercial equipment, lab equipment, and other specialty moves that require great care and proper management. We understand that these items are not only cumbersome and heavy, but they are incredibly expensive and delicate that must be handled with a graceful touch in which we have been described as “remarkable” from customers due to our success rate.
When you have large marble tabletops, expensive taxidermy, fragile pictures and paintings, and large and expensive televisions you will need these items crated in a wooden crate or a similar structure to properly transport these items. Crating items does increase the cost of your move, but it guarantees your items will not be damaged while they are in transit. Building a sturdy wooden structure around your beloved items can prevent them from getting damaged throughout your move. You can always decline having your fragile items crated, but we strongly encourage you to formulate a plan to protect these items before they are placed onto our trucks. If your Moving Specialist recommends you crate an item, and you decline to do so, then we may request you sign a “Release of Liability” which would relinquish our responsibility as the carrier for a specific item due to its high likelihood of getting damaged while being moved. We will never crate an item or suggest we crate an item simply to charge an additional fee; if we suggest an item needs to be crated it is for the sake of your belongings care and to ensure your move goes as smooth as it possible with no damages.
If you are curious as to what type of coverage we offer for your belongings we suggest you visit our Valuation page to understand the coverage options that are available to you. On this page you will be able to read and understand what valuation is and how your good will be covered in the event of a claim.
